Historic Interior Planning

Historic sites, whether they are residential, industrial or commercial, have organic histories. Given the possibility of a number of different approaches, should the site/building be furnished to reflect a specific point in time? Should the interior furnishings be based on the story of one individual, family, or owner? Or should the goal be to tell the story of the entire history of the site/building? We work with our clients to consider these alternatives, and based on the conclusions, help research, write, and, if requested, implement an historic interiors plan that recommends appropriate furnishings and interior treatments.
